Legal Corners Printing

Its simple.

1. Just click our buy buttons or the shop page. Fill out your order form specifying what type of legal corner and how many you want printed.
2. Add your payment details to complete the purchase.
3. Once you have ordered your corners you will receive an email asking for your logo and instructions.
4. Once we get your instructions we will print your legal corners (if you supply print ready artwork) or start designing your legal corners for your approval before we print.
5. We will always send you a visual for approval before printing.
6. Once approved we will print your corners and deliver them to your address (usually in 1 week).

If you want to supply us with your own artwork that’s fine.

If you are creating your own artwork, please set up your artwork using our template to the following specifications:

Size with bleed: Fit exactly within the template, No bleed
Resolution: 300 dpi minimum
Format: PDF or JPEG - High resolution pdfs are our preferred choice of files for printing.
Colour: Please supply as CMYK not RGB or Pantone (RGB and Pantones need to be converted to CMYK)
Fonts: Outlined or Embedded - Convert text to outlines to ensure that there are no font changes
Safe Zone: 3mm inside the cut edges of the legal corners

Template: Supply without the pink template guides. No printer marks.

Once we receive your artwork we will check it and send you a proof. If you are happy with it just confirm and we will print it.

If you want us to create the artwork for your legal corners you need to supply us with your logo file which you can email to us once you have placed your order.

LOGOS

Please supply a high quality logo (logos taken from website are usually low quality, RGB colour scheme and not usually suitable for printing).

If you supply a low resolution or low quality logo it will have an impact on the final print quality. Low quality logo files can often appear blurred or pixelated when printed.

It often depends on the file type but as a rough guide - low resolution logos are small in size e.g. 10KB. Better quality logos are well over a 100KB often hundreds of KB.

LOGO FILE TYPES

We accept most file types (jpegs, png, pdf, svg, eps and ai). Our preferred option is .eps or .ai files as these give us more flexibility when adding your logo to our legal corners.

We need the logo as a file on its own. Please don't send Word documents or Powerpoint Presentations with your logo placed inside these documents.

Matt lamination is a process where paper is covered with a matt plastic coating. This can be applied to one side or both. We coat both sides of our legal corners to ensure the best finish.

This protects the ink and the paper with a waterproof coating AND adds a quality feel to our legal corners.

You might have noticed that other suppliers charge extra for this coating  but we feel its important and have therefore included it within our prices.

We have 2 levels of design. As standard we provide FREE design unless you tell us you want something extra.

FREE DESIGN

We will add your logo to our templates plus your website address (if necessary) and send you a proof.

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL DESIGN

If you want to explore different design options, different colours, add additional information such as extra offices, telephone numbers etc we can do that but as this is more involved we charge £25 for this service.

Remember there isn't much space so sometimes less information is better.

If you aren't in the print industry or don't order print regularly these numbers probably don't mean much to you. Basically these numbers refer to the weight and ultimately thickness of the paper or card.

We have experimented with different paper weights and can print, fold and cut into a variety of thickness. The temptation is to think that thicker card provides a better product but this isn't always right.

Things to consider:

1. We don't believe that anything above 350gsm card is appropriate for legal corners and in fact we prefer to use thinner card than this.
2. Thick card makes stapling harder. For example if a staple has to go through a 350gsm card plus your document this can be an issue.
3. Thicker card makes folding more difficult. Legal corners printed on thick card naturally want to spring open much more than thinner card.
4. Cracked print and card along the spine can be an issue. This becomes even more of a problem with thick 350 card. One way to avoid this is to matt laminate the thicker card but this simply makes your legal corner more rigid, harder to fold and harder to staple.

For the reasons above we have decided to print onto great quality 300gsm card and matt laminate both sides as standard. The matt laminate adds strength, protects the corners, prevents cracking along the spine and we genuinely believe that this provides a superior product.
